Kogi State and Oyo State Allows Cross Over Services, Lagos and Fct Plead for Covid19 Compliance

As we all know the new year is fast approaching and also their is Covid19 still in the country as cases rise everyday. Oyo state and kogi state however has okay cross over night in their state unlike other states like Lagos and Fct.

Churches in kogi state has been told by the government to observe the cross over service is they wish to. The state chairman of Christian association of Nigeria Bishop John Ibenu made mention of this in one of his speech in Lokoja on Wednesday 30th of December 2020.

He said he has spoken with the government of kogi state to observe the cross over night in our various churches on December 31st. He also urges Christians to keep the Kogi state in their prayers for plague not to come over the state as whole.

Meanwhile over the time, the Governor of Kogi state Governor Yahaya bello has made it known that even though Covid19 exists, it has been exaggerated by some governors and the government as a whole for economic and political purpose.

On the Other hand, Oyo state Governor  Suspend curfew in the state to Observe Cross over night on December 31st.

Just like Kogi state Governor, Oyo state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has suspend curfew of 12am - 4am imposed on  all the 36states in Nigeria to curb covid19 spread, To observe the cross over might throughout Oyo state.

This was made known through the Oyo state Chief press Secretary to the governor Mr Taiwo Adisa. In his statement, covid19 procedures like wearing of facemask, directives of 50% occupancy for worship, event centres, and others, ban of street carnivals remains effective.

Also FCTA urges Residents to Observe Covid19 protocols

The federal capital territory administration cancels cross over night in the state to comply fully with covid19 procedures and the curb the spread of the disease in the state. He however said worshippers, churches and mosques found violating the orders will be shut down with immediate effect.

Ikaro Attach, the head media and public enlightenment of Fct made this known, he said people must support to government to stop the spread of the disease so to move the Fct forward.

However other states like ondo state who stated that ban of cross over night is not Anti Christian rather to curb the spread of this diseases. Lagos state also urges her residents to stay indoor to comply with Covid19 protocols.

Inspire of this development, Enugu state also ban cross over services in the state to observe Covid19 procedures and caution the state residence to obey the law of the state.
