President Buhari has signed Appropriation Bill 2021 into Law

The federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, the commander I'm chief of armed forces, has signed appropriate bill 2021 into law on Thursday 31st of December 2020.

The appropriation bill passing ceremony was done at the presidential office, at the presidential villa in abuja. The national assembly has however passed #13.58trn budget for the next coming year.

It has been a desire of the present administration to restore the country to her normal January to December cycle, and this was achieved after the president signed 2020 budget into law at December 17, 2019.

The national assembly has passed the appropriate bill last Monday, raising the total estimate from #13.08 trn to #13.58trn, with an increase of over #500bn.

Both the senators and members of the house of representatives  committee  has laid their report in the respective chambers, meanwhile the house of representative hold a special session to pass the national budget before the Christmas and new year break.

This is the breakdown of the national budget, #13.59trn for 2021, #496.53bn is for statutory transfers, #3.32trn for debt services, #5.64trn for recurrent expenditure and #4.13trn is for capital expenditure.

A total of statutory transfer of #496.53bn were approved, and it is noticed that #125bn proposed for national assembly and his affiliate has been increased which inturn be in total of #133.99bn.
