Sokoto State Gov Asks Military Chiefs To Resign Honourably

According to news report reaching pmtv gist, The Governor of Sokoto state Governor Aminu Tambuwal has dropped a bomb shell in his statement recently as he ask the military chiefs to honourably resign their position if the president of the federal republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari had refused to sack them due to the worsening of security in the nation.

He however accused the government of president Buhari to accept the failure in security issues because it becomes worsened since the administration of the government in power, lives and property of the people in the country are no longer safe. An elder state men known as Ayo Adebanjo, Dr Junaid Muhammed and Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, were also in the same line with the sokoto state Governor Tambuwa as they also backed up his claim about the honourable resignation of the military chiefs as the security of the nation tends to be degrading everyday.

One of the elder state man Adebanjo claims that not only the military chiefs should resign, even the president should have resigned his position as the security becomes worsening under his government. He said this in one of his statement made at an event webinar organised by Emmanuel chapel titled 'Rebuilding our lives, A case for hope and determination to succeed'.

Tambuwa in his statement made it known that the security personnel in the country are not enough, while most youth who are ready to work effectively and serve their country are just their roaming about on the street without doing nothing.

The webinar events was attended by many dignitaries, a banker and former president of the Nigeria stock exchange Mr Aigboje, former world bank vice president, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, Ex Governor of central bank of Nigeria and former Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi and a Legal practitioner Prof Konyinsola (SAN) were present at the events.

Meanwhile the federal national assembly, and other quarters in Nigeria have been calling for the removal of military chiefs including the chief of defence staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of army staff, Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai, Chief of air staff,  Marshal Sadique Abubakar and the chief of Naval staff, Ibok Ekwe Ibas, has been accused for rise in insecurity recently.

The military chiefs are accused and ask to resigned honourably due to some recent insecurity issues in the nation as a whole like an attack on Innocent 43 farmers that were killed by the Boko haram bandit in Zabarmari village at Jere Local government in Borno state on Nov.27 last year 2020, among several other attacks on Innocent citizen, robbery that has becomes a norm in the nation, kidnapping issues like about 309 students were kidnapped in Kankara Katsina state in December 11, 2020.

At the webinar events, the Sokoto state Governor Tambuwa made his voice heard at the event, he says the military chiefs should have met the president and tell him they have done their best but their best is not enough and then ask the president to appoint the new set of military chiefs to tackle the insecurity in the nation rather than just be appointed without doing any tangible to curb crimes in the nation.
